Threshold History

Threshold Information was started in 1993 by Cynthia Lesky, a business librarian who recognized that external information or environmental intelligence has a unique and essential contribution to make to successful corporate strategy, marketing, product development, and other mission-critical functions.

In 2004, Dr. Alison Taylor joined the company to build Threshold’s scientific information practice. Threshold Science searches and analyzes scientific and technical information, with a focus on the life sciences and consumer products areas.

From the beginning, Threshold clients have been delighted with our on-target intelligence and exemplary customer care. Their referrals have enabled Threshold to grow steadily. Today, Threshold’s core staff of researcher-analysts and support staff is supplemented by a network of associates and partners around the country.
